Significance of Boiling Cooling Bed

  • Boiling Cooling Bed’s main function is for the used sand cooling.


  • After the casting mold is cast, the temperature of the sand is increased due to high-temperature metal baking.


  • If the molding sand is mixed with used sand with a higher temperature. We should perform forced cooling for the used sand.


  • The humidification cooling method is generally used.

(1) Working principle:

The counter-rotating crosshead drives the scraper to keep the material rotating to make the used sand mixed evenly.

The high-pressure blower makes the old sand boiled to achieve the cooling effect, complete pre-mixing while cooling.

(2) Main features:

These kinds of machines have the features of compact structure; stable operation; low noise and low energy consumption.

The opening of the discharge hole is adjustable, which can control the emptying of materials in the machine basin.

S86 Series Vibrating boiling cooling bed:

(1) Composition:

These kinds of S86 Series vibration boiling cooling bed are composed of vibration boiling cooling bed; porous plate; air blower system; exhaust system and humidifying agitator.

(2) Working principle:

Hot used sand falls onto the porous plate of the vibrating boiling cooling bed.

Water is sprayed through the humidifier. The air blowing system blows cold air from the lower part of the porous plate to make the hot sand boil.

The air and the hot sand are in full contact. The water vapor in the hot sand is taken away by the exhaust system. The hot sand achieves the purpose of cooling.

During the movement, the adhered fine powder is separated from the sand by the friction between the sand, and entered the dust removal system with the suction airflow.

After cooling, the used sand is continuously transported to the sand outlet for transportation.

In term of heat exchange efficiency, the sand and air in the boiling state are 6-10 times larger than that in the static state.

The boiling cooling bed is an ideal heat exchange device.

The special gas nozzle is evenly distributed on the bed surface of the boiling bed to ensure the gas distribution effect.

Adopts Multi-channel air supply and water supply. It is blown by a high-pressure fan, exhausted by a suction fan, and supplied by a high-pressure water pump.

An observation window is provided on the box of the sand cooling bed to observe the operation of the used sand in the cooling bed at any time.

FTB Series Boiling Cooling Bed:


Boiling Cooling Bed


(1) Composition:

It is composed of a diffusion chamber; boiling chamber; wind box; air blow system, etc.

It must be equipped with a water circulation system and an exhaust dust removal system.

The used sand must undergo magnetic separation and screening before entering the equipment.

(2) Working principle:

The sand is in a boiling state by the strong cold wind.

Fully contact with the heat exchanger to make the sand flow perform secondary heat exchange.

Control the pressure of the airflow discharged from the equipment to form a negative pressure, on the one hand, the sand flow can effectively flow, and at the same time, the dust in the sand flow can be exhausted.

The sand has a certain regeneration function due to the friction between the sand when it is boiling.

Cooling circulating water and the high-pressure blower to make the sand is in a fluidized state and can be fully heat exchanged.

Dust removal port is provided to exhaust fine dust in the sand flow.

It has the advantages of obvious cooling effect and fine powder separation performance.
